2014 Corvette C7 revealed!

The american dream is back! The 2014 Corvette C7 Sting Ray is the successor, it's completely new, and a great improvement under every point of view, compared to the C6. The look still reminds us that is a Corvette, but it looks way more exotic, european, a supercar! Of course the typical Corvette exhaust with 4 central pipes is still there, and I think that the back is too inspired from the Camaro, but that doesn't mean that is a bad rear.

So, what's under the hood? In the typical American recipe, a massive 6.2L LT1 V8 engine, it produces 450hp and 610nm, and it's more eco friendly and performant with the direct injection and the cylinders deactivation.With this power, the C7 is able to cover the 0-60 in just 4.0 seconds.

The roof, as well as other components you find in the interior are made of carbon fibre. The C7 is 45kg lighter than the C6, and its chassis is 57% stiffer. Good to know that at least the americans keep alive the tradition and spirit of the manual gearbox. Indeed, the C7 is available with a 7-speed manual gearbox that comes also with the rev-matching (a blip of the throttle while changing gear); otherwise you can go for a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
