No, it's not a movie!

You might think that this scene was taken from a comic movie, but this video is real and was recorded in the city of Cardito, in the province of Naples, in Italy. A local resident has filmed from his balcony the attempt of a Fiat 500 to reverse and drive away, but the driver finds out to be stuck between two cars and with very poor driving skills he tries (in vain) for a long time to move away, meanwhile many cars are waiting exasperating (touching the brawl a couple of times!). If that's not enough, also some bikers and even a religious procession you see coming, but finally the Fiat driver moves away with the massive help, applause and shouts of joy of the priest, the bikers, the Protezione Civile (civil defense) and the whole crowd.

5 years after the last american F1 Gran Prix, F1 is finally back in America with Austin's GP. A couple of days before the race, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have been involved in the making of the commercial of the Abarth 500 Convertible, whose american debut is set on the Los Angeles Auto Show. The production has been very fast to publish the video 4 days after the making, according to Fernando Alonso's tweet on the set.

Fiat 500X

Yesterday during a press conference held at Lingotto, Fiat has showed to the crowd for a little time an extra large version to the Fiat 500 in the SUV variant. It wasn't a real presentation so we can't go on detail about it, the 500X is long 4,20m and should replace the Fiat Sedici, it will be presented in September during the Paris Motor Show and it will probably feature a 4WD system.

V8-powered Fiat 500!

Is there anything more fun than a sporty little hatchback? I own the modified version of the Fiat 500 by Abarth which I find extremely fun. Last year I had the opportunity to test drive the RWD Abarth 500 by Aznom-Lucarelli and it was a truly awesome car! What happend if you put a V8 engine in a little Fiat 500?

That's the project of italian company Lazzarini that is looking for an investor to help to build the Lazzarini 550, a 550.000$ Fiat 500 powered with the 4.5L V8 taken from the Ferrari 458 Italia but with 20hp less for a better grip and traction of the car (550hp are still enough to move this little car). On the exterior the company has applied a widebody making it 300mm wider in the back and 200mm in the front, the wheelbase has been increased of 300mm. Many components on the car will be taken from Ferrari such as the radiator, suspensions and transmission. Sounds like the recipe for a fantastic machine, isn't it? Just hope the car will become reality one day!

Abarth 500 Venom Concept

A new sporty and mad version of the Abarth 500 is on the plan to arrive in the USA. It's called " Venom ", it's a very good name for a black scorpion full of carbon fibre. The 1.4 turbo engine of this little monster comes out the factory with 160hp, but this one is tuned up around 190/200hp and with a great use of carbon fibre. This car is the result of a collaboration with Mopar and Magneti Marelli. Just listen to the glorious exhaust note while sexy model Catrinel Menghia is revving it up!
