Desert fun with the A45 AMG

Is it really necessary to use a big off-road vehicle if you want to have some fun in the desert? Not really, this video clearly shows uf that an AWD system is enough for that! Years ago we would have never said that the A-Class is a tough car, even less that it would have looked like good fun to drive across the dunes of the desert!

The A45 AMG rumbles nicely

The Mercedes A45 AMG is a quite different AMG from the others because under the bonnet we don't find a typical V12 or V8 engine with a byblical displacement, but a tiny 2.0L turbocharged 4-cyl engine.

Twin Turbo SLS on the dyno

The Mercedes SLS AMG is a fantastic supercar; it looks great, sounds great and goes fast. Actually, if you want the icing on the cake there's a Black Series version as well. If you want more, the guys at Rado have realized the SLS that might be right for you.

Top Gear caught while filming in Italy

We've nearly come to the end of the 20th season of Top Gear, but don't get sad, the british chaps are already working for the 21th season since they have been spotted in Italy while filming a new episode.

760hp X6M races a 560hp SLS

Comparing a SUV and a supercar is quite useless and unusual, first of all because they're two totally different cars, but if you place side by side a stock Mercedes SLS AMG and an heavily tuned BMW X6M, things could be interesting because we're talking about a stock AMG with 570hp which is going to race a big, fat //M with an incredible 760hp (that's the same power of the Zonda 760RS!).

Mercedes SLS E-Cell spotted

What most people love from the SLS AMG is its very masculine and noisy roar. Talking about the E-Cell, this is not really its best feature because under its bonnet lies an electric engine! The batteries make you fly with its 740hp and 1000nm, you can't do that noisily but you won't certainly go unnoticed with a bright paint like this!

Petrol vs Electric - The Revenge

If you remember, last year a group of journalists had the idea to challenge the new hybrid Tesla Model S, with a BMW M5, and the Tesla won silently the drag race. It's time for petrolheads to take revenge of the hybrid and match the Tesla Model S with another german sports saloon car, the noisy Mercedes E63 AMG. The 518hp and 630nm of the E63 AMG will be enough to compete with the 416hp and 600nm of the Model S? On the paper, the Mercedes is better, but don't forget that the Tesla delivers all its torque at any speed, just click and see the race..

The Mini Benz?!

Is this, the Mini of Mr.Bean's german cousin? The video, brought by my friend WorldSupercars, features an Austin Mini mixed with many componets taken from the 1968 Mercedes W114. Not sure if I would approve this car even if it would be official, but this Mini Benz  it's quite funny and cool for being unique!

Brushed Metal Blue E63 AMG

In Middle East, car wrapping is fashionable and very popular and many supercar owners love to customize their cars with a shiny vinyl wrap. I've stumbled in the video of a Mercedes E63 finished in a brushed metal blue wrap. It's not just loud just like any other AMG, but it also looks awesome!

AMG wishes a Merry Christmas with a very funny commercial that takes place in a racetrack with a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 and a team that is quite nervous that give to the racing driver instructions how to drive on track, but why? See the video until the end.. :)

Revealed: SLS AMG Black Series

When it comes to a Black Series model, it's certainly serious stuff. Finally, even the SLS AMG has it's own Black edition. Just like every Black edition, even the SLS is fastest and improved under many ways. Take the massive 6.2L V8 engine of the SLS AMG GT version with 583hp, tune it and you have the power of the new Black, 622hp; unexpectedly, the torque goes from 648 to 638nm.

SLS Black Series Test Mule on fire

Recently a testing mule of the upcoming Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series caught on fire at Nürburgring, the main place where nowadays most of the automotive factories test their cars. The accident took place in the main straight during an hard testing session, pretty dangerous location if you consider in that point, there are supercars that can even touch a top speed of 300kph. Luckily the driver and passenger didn't suffered any injuries.

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake

This weekend Mercedes showed on world debut the new shooting brake version of the Mercedes CLS63 AMG at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car is almost ready but it had a light camouflage,  The performance and power output should be similar to the sedan but certainly with a major weight; under the bonnet we will probably find a twin turbo 5.5L V8 with 525hp and 700nm, 0-100kph in 4.5s and a top speed limited to 250kph.
