Let's face it, the Launch Control device is kinda useless, it's basicly a posing device which makes you go faster at a light and at the same time it crunches the clutch and the tires, but somehow I think that it's absolutely awesome in its uselesness, especially on the Ferrari 599 GTO which unleashes roughly 660hp on the tarmac with a spectacular wheelspin!

The racetrack of Interlagos in São Paolo recently held the Ferrari XX Programme and for the crowd it was possible to see for the first time in Brazil the 599XX and FXX in action. My good friends at ExclusivosNoBrasil didn't wasted time and managed to place a GoPro camera on the side of a 599XX Evolution, just close to the exhaust! You won't hear better sounds like this today, so sit and enjoy the XX racing at Interlagos.

Charity Auctions for Emilia Romagna

As you remember, back in May of this year, a series of brutal earthquakes have caused a lot of damages and also casualties in the Emilia Romagna region, the place where the magic happens, where you can find some of the best automotive factories such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Pagani.

The weekend of the italian F1 GP, Ferrari has given to Google executive Benjamin Slossag the keys to his brand new Ferrari 599XX sold for an incredible price tag of 1.4m €. The proceeds from this car and other items sold at the charity auction have been donated to the victims of the earthquake.

But it's not over, the funds for this amazing region keep coming through charity car events held all around Italy, and also thanks to Mclaren that has decided to sell on Ebay the racing suits used by Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton during the italian F1 GP held at Monza. The proceeds will be donated to an hospital and a school for disabled children. Are you a crazy Mclaren fan and want to make a good deed? Here the links to the auctions:

I'm always excited when my friends at Exclusivos No Brazil show me the previews of their upcoming videos. In Brazil there's not much cops so they can easily make crazy things with supercars such as in the following video where they burn some rubber of a Ferrari 599 GTB in the interstate.

599 GTO in action

There are many automotive rallies, the most famous might be the Gumball 3000, but there's always something in common between these events, and it's the show off for the crowd with noisy supercars. This Ferrari 599 GTO wrapped in a very bright green has been filmed while burning some rubber and revving during rally " The Challenge 2012 ". Too bad this guy almost hit a few photographers while performing a launch and drives like a crazy, forgetting that he's in the city centre of a huge city like Paris.

Ferrari Corse Clienti at SPA Franchorchamps

The 17th and 18th of July, the belgian circuit of SPA Francorchamps has been protagonist of the Ferrari Corse Clienti programmes, an event held by Ferrari that let their rich customers have fun with their expensive toys, such as the Ferrari 599XX EVO, FXX EVO and even the F1! Too bad the weather didn't helped alot, but for the real petrolheads this wasn't a problem, and so here below a video-report from several spotters that had the pleasure to hear these amazing cars.

Shocking Ferrari 599 GTO Crash

A terrible crash involving a limited Ferrari 599 GTO took place in Singapore. The 31 years old driver of the GTO was speeding in the city and tried to drive through a red light intersection at 200km/h, causing a fatal collision by hitting a motorcycle and a taxi. The result of this accident is devatasting as you can see in the pictures below; the drivers of the taxi and GTO are both killed, brain dead for the passenger of the taxi and serious injuries to the spine of the biker.

A dashboard camera has caught the fatal accident that really leaves speachless by its brutality.

How NOT to close the bonnet of a Ferrari

A spotter has filmed in Monaco an unusual action featuring the loud Ferrari 599 GTB Mansory Stallone. Looks like the young co-driver is having some problems while trying to close in a rough way the big hood that is hiding the huge V12 engine that produces 720hp.

710hp Ferrari 599 GTO by Romeo Ferraris

If you have a Ferrari 599 GTO and think that 670hp is not enough for you, now you can make a visit to Romeo Ferraris in Italy. The famous tuner of Milan has developed a series of mods for the GTO with very good results. As you know, the 6.2L V12 produces 670hp and you can increase the power and performance with the choice of 2 Steps.

The first " light " step includes a sport air filter and a new exhaust giving to the car 15hp and 13nm of torque.

The second step is really gritty and includes a sport air filter, full exhaust system (new manifolds, central tube and muffler) that is linked to a new ECU reflash, increasing the power up to 710hp and 668nm of torque (+40hp and +48nm)!

The tuning package includes also aestethics modifications which provide the use of carbon fibre on the extractor, side mirrors and the wing. Check out the official video of the dyno run in Romeo Ferraris' workshop and the official pics below:

Tamara Ecclestone and her Ferrari 599 GTO

For her 27th birthday, the beautiful Tamara Ecclestone asked to his dad Bernie (president and CEO of F1) an expensive present. She has grown in the motorsport and sure she loves supercars, so she asked for a 320.000€ brand new Ferrari 599 GTO, grey with beige interior.

This is a picture taken while she was unwrapping the gift straight from the truck and yes, she's wearing a pajama in the middle of the road.

Then she decided to make a videoshoot with her new Ferrari and she poses for it, enjoy the pics!

Video: Ferrari 599XX EVO in Action

Back in December, 2011, Ferrari showed to the world in the Bologna Motor Show an improvement package for the extreme Ferrari 599XX. The package is called " Evoluzione " and includes many important modifications. Now it's even more powerful with a total of 750hp / 700NM and a 35kg weight reduction.

The package includes also many important aerodinamic modifications and a new huge rear wing which is actuated automatically according to specific parameters which are integrated with the car's other control functions (ESP, ABS, SCM and F1-Trac). The position of the exhaust has been moved on both the sides of the car with an increase of 20hp.

Finally there's a video where it's possible to see the 599XX EVO in action on track, more precisely at the japanese Suzuka racetrack, during a private session of the Ferrari Race Days.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what we have been waiting for a long time, the successor of the Ferrari 599, the F12 Berlinetta! It's always exciting and amazing when Ferrari releases a new car, after 6 years it's time to replace the gran turismo 599.

Let's have a quick back to the past, it really makes me feel old to see these 7 years old spy pictures to the Ferrari 599 GTB!

The 2012 Ferrari F620 GT is almost here..

For a Ferrari enthusiast like me, it's always exciting and enervating the waiting for the debut of a new Ferrari. Last year we had the debut of the innovative and astonishing Ferrari FF that replaced the 612 Scaglietti. After 6 years after the debut of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, it's time for a replacement, something faster and with the newest and best technology that Ferrari has developed over the years. We know it's going to be called " F620 GT ", next Monday will start the private debut in Maranello, just for Ferrari owners...  the public world debut will take place in March at the Geneva Motor Show, I will attend the event during the press days and hopefully I will be one of the very first that I show you on detail this new creature. Actually we just know the F620 GT will feature a 7-Speed double clutch transmission and a modified version of the 6.3L V12 engine of the Ferrari FF, with a final output of 710hp, making it the most powerful road-legal Ferrari ever!

I've stumbled upon this very interesting drawing about how the F620 could look like, the author did the same with the FF before the official debut and the result was very similar to the reality.
