Veyron Vitesse WRC hits 408km/h!

With a top speed of 408,84km/h, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car (pretty long name, isn't it?) is the world's fastest convertible in the world. EVO's Harry Metcalfe had the opportunity to attend the exclusive event in which Bugatti sets the world record in Germany at VW's 21km oval private test track. The full report by EVO includes the onboard footage of the Vitesse's record run, an interview with chinese driver Anthony Liu and Harry himself driving it at 350km/h. In order to reach this important goal, the Vitesse WRC produces 1200hp and 1500nm, the same amount of power of the SS WRE.

1700hp GT-R is pretty quick!

A stock Nissan GT-R is able to compete with many supercars, but a tuned one might beat with not much efforts even the most expensive hypercars in the world. This GT-R AMS Alpha set an incredible mile run record in just 22.7s with a speed of 374kmh. Just to let you know, this GT-R reached 300km/h in 12.8s which is nearly 1s faster than the Hennessey Venom GT and nearly 2s faster than the Koenigsegg Agera R and Bugatti Veyron SS. 120 octane race fuel, semi slick tires and 1700hp might have been a good help to achieve this incredible result..

New record for the Hennessey Venom GT

To give you a better idea of what is a fast car, here you can see the recent Guinness World Record acclaimed by the Hennessey Venom GT. With an incredible acceleration from 0 to 300 kph (0-186mph) in just 12.63 seconds, this car is the world's fastest production car for this speed, almost 1 second faster than the previous record holder, the Koenigsegg Agera R. How can it be so fast? Power/Weight ratio is the key of the Venom GT. It weighs just 1220kg and under the hood takes place a massive twin turbo 6.8L V8 engine that produces 1200hp!

World's fastest street legal car!

The Ford GT is a pretty good supercar, but if you tune it, it can really be badass. Recently, a twin turbo Ford GT with the incredible power of 1700hp has set a new Guinness World Record, by accelerating up to 283.232 mph (455.82 km/h) in a standing mile! With this astonishing result, this Ford GT modified by Performance Power Racing is street legal, and so it's the world's fastest one!

The video of the world's fastest Ford GT didn't showed us much action about the record attempt, so why not, let's take a look at another recent attempt of another modified Ford GT, this time by Hennessey Performance which sets up a top speed record at Texas Mile with a 263.3 mph (423,74 km/h) run. In the video we can enjoy the onboard camera and an external shoot of the GT.

Ferrari F70 Spied again

A very interesting video about the Ferrari F70 has appeared on YouTube, the dutch spies from Speedspot had a close up with the prototype of the future Enzo replacement in the italian countryside not so far from Maranello. Once the two technicians of Ferrari realized to be in the focus of the cameras, they quickly covered the car and watched the spies not really with a friendly smile.

Lady shows her welfare around Monaco

Monaco, is there a better place to spend alot of money and to get the opportunity to drive and feel the power of the 1001hp of the Bugatti Veyron? Ofcourse I'm ironic, that's because a rich lady has been filmed while driving around Monaco with a rental Bugatti Veyron whose cost for a daily use is about 19.000€. The young wealthy lady probably loves to do it big, and to impress the people around her, she gave a generous tip of 500€ to the valet, just to move the Veyron for a couple of metres.

Want to rent that Veyron or don't believe about the price? Just check here: http://www.aaarentcars.com/rent/hire-bugatti-veyron.html#cat-car-rental

A Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse has been spotted on the way to the Concorso Italiano at Monterey that took place the last weekend. There are infinite ways to configure a Bugatti, and though a full orange paint is not really original, this Vitesse looks extremely fantastic. The Vitesse is known as the world's fastest convertible ever made with its incredible top speed of 410kph.

SSC Ultimate Aero XT

Back in 2006, Shelby Supercars introduced the american response to the Bugatti Veyron. Indeed, it achieved the fame in 2007 by beating the famous top speed of the Veyron by 3kph, for a total of 410kph. The record came back to Bugatti with the introduction of the Veyron SuperSport WRE and its incredible top speed of 434kph, still an unbeaten record. Before to the start of the production of the new Tuatara hypercar, the company has decided to close the era of the SSC with an hardcore version that will be hardly forgotten. The new SSC Ultimate Aero XT has the target to recapture the top speed record with its top speed of 440kph. Thanks to the massive use of aluminium and carbon fibre, the XT weights just 1130kg and it's moved with a 7.0L twin turbo V8 engine that produces 1300hp. The SSC is not going away in silence, let's see if it will be able to get on nerves again the germans.

Rimac One in Action

Rimac Automobili has released their first teaser video about some upcoming action scenes featuring the Concept One after its monegasque debut during the 2012 Top Marques Monaco. Most of the petrolheads doesn't approve electric sport cars, mainly because they doesn't produce the typical roar of a petrol engine, but this is something very special.

The Concept One driving in Monaco

The Concept One is moved by four electric engines that produces a total of 1088hp and 3800nm (!!!) of torque. These are some serious numbers that make the Concept One the fastest road production electric car ever made. And so it moves from 0 to 100 kph in just 2.8s and accelerates up to 305kph.

The Concept One has a big autonomy of 600km, if compared to the 340km of its most famous sport electric rival, the Tesla Roadster. Just 88 Concept One will be produced with a price tag of 724.000€.
